These families work at a job, so they do not qualify for government assistance. Despite their best efforts, many of these families are barely able to supply the basics for their children. Money is often hard to come by for the extras, such as a good warm winter coat, children's books, school supplies, field trips, class pictures, nice presents to open on Christmas morning, and other small things that most of us take for granted. With your assistance we can provide some of these extra items for these families that are trying so hard to help themselves.&nbsp; <span style="font-size: 12.0pt">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><i> <span style="font-size: 12.0pt; color: #FF0033">The Sharing Foundation</span></i></b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt"> began back in 1992.&nbsp; Our founder, John Brewer, worked as a shopping mall Santa during the Christmas season.&nbsp;&nbsp; Just before Christmas one year, John's daughter told him about a friend's family whose father had just lost his job.&nbsp; She was upset because she knew her friend may not get anything for Christmas that year.&nbsp; John took the Santa money that he'd earned and provided Christmas presents for the entire family.&nbsp; From then, until his passing in 2004, John worked tirelessly to build The Sharing Foundation into the thriving organization it is today.&nbsp; </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt">We have continued John's work by providing much needed assistance to working families here in Anne</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt"> </span> <span style="font-size: 12.0pt">Arundel County that just need a little help.&nbsp; Seeing the face of a child when they open a bag of presents that might not have come otherwise is one of the best feelings on Earth.&nbsp; Maybe the next best feeling is looking into the eyes of their parents and seeing the relief and gratitude now that their children have presents that they may not have been able to provide.&nbsp; Your assistance as a volunteer or donor to <b><i> <span style="color: #FF0033">The Sharing Foundation</span></i></b> will allow us to continue this rewarding and necessary work right here in our community.</span>&nbsp;</p> <p>Thank you for visiting <strong><i><span style="color: #FF0033">The Sharing Foundation's </span></i></strong>website. The doors open at 9:30 for pictures with the Easter Bunny. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:00 for children 5 and under and at 10:05 for older children. From 10:00 to 11:30, there will be free arcade play for everyone attending. Admission is $20 for a family of up to 4 people (additional people are $5 each). There will be raffles and door prizes availble to round out the fun for the entire family. Hope to see you there. <br><br><b>May 25, 2012</b><br> <a href="http://www.chick-fil-a.com/pasadenacrossroads"><b>Chick-fil-A, Pasadena Crossroads</b></a> is holding a fundraiser for The Sharing Foundation on May 25th from 5:30 - 8:30pm. 20% of your receipt goes to support our work in your community. Another School Supply Drive!</b></i></font></strong> <br><br>We're looking for additional collection sites for our 2012 School Supply Drive. If you're interested in hosting one of our collection sites, please contact us. Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide school supplies to many Anne Arundel County school counselors for children in their schools that were in need last fall. Your efforts helped our teachers and counselors provide the supplies needed to ensure that every child has a chance to succeed in school.
